Experience

Project leader & Senior Researcher & Developer

*Geodan, Amsterdam, Netherlands (2020 - 2024)*

• Research and development of a national Digital Twin for the Netherlands across several projects with ministries (Rijkswaterstaat), municipalities (Amsterdam, Den Bosch, Breda) and universities (TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, VU Amsterdam …).
• Urban Intelligence using modern data stack and analysis techniques (including AI) to solve cross-disciplinary problematics from mobility to energy consumption.
• Simulation & Modelling designed to perform scenario analysis and help decision making from city stakeholders
• Project leader (€50K-€400K budgets) coordinating teams of 2 to 4.
• Workshop & lectures design and presentation at the Vrij Universiteit Amsterdam.

• Data science & analytics: Time series analysis (trend analysis, smoothing, fault detection) applied to IoT; open data mining coupled with GIS; energy demand prediction (ANN); genetic algorithms for renewable energies optimisation;

Thesis title: “A Real-Time Urban Sustainability Assessment Framework for the Smart City Paradigm”

• Study of the smart city paradigm, its stakeholders, the Internet of Things, Big Data, smart digital services and governance.
